The game is divided into two parts: the path of war, and the path of peace. Each follows its own story and concentrates on either action or amassing resources. If you choose the path of war you will be able to select a campaign or Kingmaker mode, while the path of peace will offer you a free-build mode or a full-on economic campaign. The economic side of the game was not implemented yet, so we decided to get a piece of the action instead.
The impressive quantity of buildings have something to watch. Zoom in close, and you'll notice a wheat farmer tending his crops, a fletcher taking a new bow to the armory, or a citizen being hauled off to the dungeon.
With two single-player campaigns (one focusing on economic development and one on military tactics), a skirmish mode, a set of pre-generated historic castle maps to siege or defend, a free build mode, and multiplayer, there's plenty here to keep gamers busy for months.
The demo allows you to play one campaign, which is spread across three missions. The demo also contains a tutorial which explains the game's main concepts.
